Retractable Pet Gates

Retractable Pet Gate often features a strong mesh that extends to cover openings from 4" to 50" or more. It can be extended by simply pulling out the carrier bar and then locking the length needed for doorway width. When not in use, the mesh rolls out-of-sight into the case. The best retractable pet gates retract without snapping back (like a window shade) to prevent catching clothing, little fingers, paws, or tails in the rewind.

The fully enclosed housing for the mesh in the retractable gate means its less likely that your pet can affect the mechanism or storage of the mesh. Some of them have one-hand operation. When used appropriately in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, the Retractable Pet Gates can withstand pressures up to 200 lbs.

Portable Retractable Pet Gates and can be relocated from one set of wall brackets to another in seconds. This feature allows you to install Additional Wall Bracket Kits at other locations and use the same gate. The Retractable Pet Gate can be completely removed from the wall brackets if desired, although most doors will still be able to close with the mounting hardware in place. The manufacturers state that  there are no safety hazards present. With regards to FHSA regulations, metallic or plastic Retractable Pet Gates are considered to be non-flammable according to 16 CFR 1500.3c(6)(vi).
